This a small impression of the KIVA gathering; once a year different indigenous people from all over the globe gather somewhere in the world to pass on their ancient wisdom to Western society and each other. ‘Wisom keepers’ or ‘elders’ are wel respected for their knowledge and in the summer of 2016 The Netherlands is honored to receive them in de Achterhoek. They give workshops and treatments and say prayers for the general health of Mother Earth and humanity. This gathering connects people from all over the world with many different backgrounds. Its a 4 day ceremony with a sacred fire what burns all day & night. People are connecting with themselves, Mother Earth and each other. Drugs and alcohol are not allowed in order to keep a safe space for everybody.
